SHEER IN SAN FRANCISCO

Coffee is my biggest vice! I think I could theoretically function without chocolate, pasta and pizza, but life without coffee seems completely meaningless:) I tried quitting coffee a few times mainly because it's a stimulant and because drinking too much ( which I certainly do ) is not great for your skin. There was even a brief period when I managed to stop drinking coffee completely, yet every time I passed by a coffee shop the smell of freshly brewed coffee seemed to call my name. Didn't get better with time, in fact, it felt like I missed coffee more with each passing day:) I "unquit"  drinking coffee after an especially exhausting week and decided that perhaps some vices are ok in moderation. So, I've cut down considerably. One cup a day, no more! That's the new rule and so far I've managed to stick by it! 

Pretty long speech but I promise I have a point!:) The reason for all of the above is that while we were in San Francisco, we found the greatest coffee shop ever! So, if you happen to be a coffee fanatic like I am, you should definitely stop by Four Barrel Coffee. One word, amazing! Love, love, love their coffee and their butter croissants! Come to think of it, maybe I have two vices because in my book coffee and croissants are a one package deal! Right? :)

PERFECT ASYMMETRY

I have never met an off-the-shoulder dress I didn't like! Never! Pondering about what it is about these dresses I find so attractive, I think that aside from the fact that they appeal to my girly side, to me, they are the quintessential summer dress! This particular DVF number is made even more appealing by the asymmetric hem and light-as-air silk-chiffon which feels like you wearing nothing at all! I got it right before our last trip to Palm Springs thinking it was a great little option to throw over my bikini but realized very quickly that this dress had a day-to-night transformation potential. Though it pairs beautifully with gladiator sandals and raffia totes, I am quite keen on the way it looks with high heels! Very girly and pretty! And I love that of course!:)

BACK IN BLACK

As you may have noticed I've been on a bit of a dress binge lately and the pretty shoulderless number I'm sporting in today's post is my latest find. Though my obsession with dresses ( few other favorites here & here ) is nothing new, what I have been doing differently lately is pairing feminine, flirty frocks with chunkier heels for a slightly more modern, not to mention much more comfortable feel and look. Take the studded perfection from Laurence Dacade I am wearing in today's post for example, comfortable enough to wear all day long, I just love the way they add a certain ease and edge to the whole ensemble! Not to mention the fact that unlike a pair of stilettos ( which I think would have looked great for night), they definitely make this look more appropriate for day. 

What do you guys think? How do you feel about chunky heels?
